The day started off on a positive note and ended in a slump. First thing this morning, I got on the treadmill and walked/ran for 2 miles while listening to On Managing Yourself by Clayton M. Christensen. I highly recommend this book.
For school, I was able to read Article I, wrote a professional bio, and worked on my digital portfolio. Before the day is over, I need to read a few pages from chapter 2. I have so much work to do before Sunday. It is one course every 7.5 weeks. They said, "It is not a marathon, it is a sprint." So far, it's overwhelming with no room to breathe.
I spent an hour watching Dirty John. My son and I have been watching it together since it started. He is in AZ, but we still synchronize our time to watch together. We text back and forth when we have a comment, there's a commercial, or we need to pause.
After the show, I went online and came across a little live footage of a group of people discussing poetry. To my surprise, I spotted my father. I haven't seen him in over 15 years. At least I know he is doing well. I have a love/hate relationship with social media, but I suppose this is where the love part comes into play. His voice sounds raspy and tired. I wonder if he is curious to know how I turned out.

| Me at the age of six. The last birthday I celebrated with my dad & mom. I was surrounded by children from the local orphanage in Ensenada. This place was my second home. |
