Day 3, 4 & 5

It's been a crazy few days!

I took a day off from work and exercise and spent it on my well-being: doctor's appt, grocery shopping, sewing, and homework. This made me feel so proud of myself because I was able to do something for ME. I even had a chance to polish my nails!

I got a check-up with lab-work. I haven't been feeling my best lately and need to make sure everything is alright. My doc felt a swollen lymph node under my armpit. He had me schedule an appointment to get a mammogram. Haven't had one of these in over 10 years. So I made the appointment for today. Technology has advanced so much since the last time I had one. It isn't as painful, but it is still a little invasive. I can't complain since this little exam can save my life. Now it's a matter of waiting.

All of my week's schoolwork is almost finished. I just need one more assignment and 1.5 chapters to read. My deadline is Sunday, but I want to submit everything by Saturday. It has only been a handful of days since I started school, and I have learned a lot. This is encouraging. I need a day off to catch up with all of my TV shows.

I've been thinking about my dad lately. Since I know where he is every Tuesday night (thanks to Facebook's Pages) I will visit him soon. I would like to sit-in during one of his poetry readings. I would love to photograph him too. I don't need to talk to him, I just want to see him.
